The 7-hour Registered Cyber Liability™ (RCLS) cyber security designation program is designed to provide detailed information on the current issues, potential exposures and organizational responses associated with cyber liability.
The RCLS cyber liability examination is written and administered by CEU, a division of The Institutes, a leading internet testing company. Applicants must complete the Cyber Risk Landscape and the Understanding Cyber Risk courses.
The Cyber Risk Landscape (4 hours)
The course examines the emerging threats posed by cyber risk by first laying the foundation for an enterprise-wide approach to cyber risk management. It then details measures businesses can take to ensure that their operations can continue in the wake of a data breach or other cyber loss. Next, it explores issues such as federal legislation related to cyber security, the global cyber security landscape, cyber risk underwriting, cyber risk claim handling, and cyber issues relevant to agents and brokers.
Understanding Cyber Risk (4 hours)
The course lays the foundation for a discussion of cyber risk management by differentiating between first- and third-party cyber risk loss exposures and explaining how they can be treated through traditional and nontraditional techniques.
